The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a national system providing individualised support for people with a permanent and significant disability, their families and carers.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides people with disability with support they need to live a full and independent life.
We provide support and services for people funded by the NDIS.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

To be eligible, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities;

  • be aged less than 65 when you first access the scheme;


  • be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen who holds a Protected Special Category Visa.
